Every dog is a lion at home.— Italian saying |

I was a baby when I fell in love with my first animal. Her name was Gertrude, our cat who slept in my crib. Then there was Annie, our dog, who slept with my brother. Gertrude and Annie were my best friends. I am also the girl who everyone called “the charmer” when it came to animals, wild and domestic. My parents were forever trying to get me to stop bring critters home. It never worked. There were times knowing it was best to keep my distance and hope the ma-ma critter came for her young that I would sit a-far and wait for her return. Often waiting past my curfew. Over the years I have enjoyed the company of many special friends large and small. All of which have been orphans with the exception of one. Precious memories were made while sharing a home with Lily and Kaela. Currently, I share a home with Jack, Kaela’s cat and my husband Karl. (Fortunately for me he does not mind last billing status.) To me the best things are earth are the loving creatures we share it with. Animals have brought much joy to my life. By working with animals now, it is my hope to return the favor. For those who have known me over the years it is safe to say that all would expect me to be working with animals now. I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful relationship between your companion and me. |
